Although online shopping is more convenient than shopping in traditional brick-and-mortar stores, its biggest downside is visualising how clothing will look on the customer. To solve this issue, a platform called Stylitics uses AI and combines it with the knowledge of human stylists to create curated outfit ideas. When creating an outfit, Stylitics takes various factors into account, such as weather, location, out-of-stock items, and underperforming merchandise. The platform aims to make online shopping more personal. “More and more people are purchasing products they have never touched or experienced in the real world and retailers are challenged to create digital shopping experiences that provide excitement, context, and inspiration,” says the company’s founder Rohan Deuskar.
According to Retail Dive, by the end of August 2019, Stylitics raised $21 million in funding, which the company plans to use to further develop its marketing operations and grow more sales.
AI-driven solutions offer tremendous benefits to e-commerce brands and their shoppers
Using AI, retail brands can stay ahead of their competition. This is particularly the case for e-commerce businesses. AI-driven solutions allow shoppers to find a desired item with just a few clicks. While AI provides shoppers with a seamless shopping experience, it also helps retailers increase conversion rates and earn more money.
