Ruckit, a startup specialising in trucking management software for the heavy construction and materials marketplace, created a logistics platform designed for the construction industry. It was developed to allow transparency, connecting stakeholders to transportation management systems (TMS). For instance, aggregate materials companies can control and monitor their trucks in real time, and they can “verify the trucks to be dispatched, and the trucks that need to be paid”, ensuring maximum efficiency and transparency.
“Two of the top five bulk materials producers are using the Ruckit platform … and one has already reported a 5 percent improvement in truck utilization. Higher utilization leads to truck drivers being paid more, fewer trucks on the road and lower transportation costs, which account for approximately 20 percent of the total cost of construction,” explains Kyle Kinsel, Ruckit’s co-founder and CEO.
